Online Resources and Databases
The Stoneham Public Library offers its patrons a number of reference databases to assist them in their research need, including online biographies, magazines, and newspapers. Funding for these databases is provided by the North of Boston Library Exchange (NOBLE) and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC) to member libraries.
All of these databases can be accessed through computers at the Stoneham Public Library. Many of these databases are accessible from home. To connect from a computer outside the library, you will need a Stoneham library card.
Ancestry Library Edition is a genealogy research tool that provides library patrons instant access to a wide range of resources for genealogical and historical research. Ancestry Library Edition includes records from the U. S. Census; military records; court, land and probate records; vital and church records; directories; petitions for naturalization; passenger lists and more! This database must be accessed at the library.

Wonderful databases for home work help.
Freegal is a music service that allows patrons to download or stream music for free. Patrons may download three songs per week and stream three hours per day. Performers range from Adele and Bruno Mars to Beethoven and Mozart. The service is available to Stoneham residents, but a library card is required

Auto Repair Reference Center (ARRC) is the most comprehensive collection of automobile repair reference information and contains repair and maintenance information on most major manufacturers of domestic and imported vehicles. New repair procedures, TSBs and updates are added to the product on a regular basis.
