October’s artist is Jayne Leland.
The library is so pleased to welcome photographer Jayne Leland to display her exquisite photography for the November art show in the exhibit hallway. Jayne is a digital photographer from Massachusetts who began her career in photography with her daily walks in March 2020. Over that memorable summer, Jayne quickly upgraded from an iPhone to a macro lens and Olympus camera combination. In 2021, she launched her own business/website “Blue Astor Photography”. It features Jayne’s modern take on florals and abstracts inspired by the everyday world around us.
Urban macro photography allows this artist to capture the often-overlooked details in everyday life. Jayne loves to discover pops of color or interesting architectural details in unexpected places. Everything from a graffitied lamp post to a common parking lot tree or shrub can be beautiful from the right angle. Take some time in your next library trip to appreciate this lovely, unique photography display.
