Movie Matinee: Boyz n the Hood
Come to our Movie Matinee on Friday, September 22nd at 1 PM in the Marcy Room. We will be showing the iconic ’90s movie Boyz n the Hood. Released in 1991 and written/directed by John Singleton, this seminal film follows the lives of three young men living in the Crenshaw ghetto of Los Angeles, dissecting questions of race, relationships, violence, and future prospects. Roger Ebert called Boyz n the Hood “…not simply a brilliant directorial debut, but an American film of enormous importance.“
