Kids Programs

The Junior Room offers a variety of weekly, monthly, and special programs for kids from birth – 8th grade. Click the images for program descriptions.

Until further notice, all programs will be held virtually. We look forward to the day that we can be together again.

Special Programs

Join Miss Rachel to watch Rolie Polie Guacamole, a high energy interactive family band that’s a mix of funk, rock, and folk mashed into original tunes about natural living, eating healthy and staying active! Watch with Miss Rachel on zoom at 10:30 am or catch it on the Stoneham Public Library facebook page after. This program is made possible with the support of the Stoneham Cultural Art Council and the North Suburban Child & Family Resource Network. Sign up here for the link!

Weekly Programs

Join Miss Rachel for an all ages Storytime Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10:30 am! Now that the weather is nice, we’ll likely be on the library lawn, but in case of rain or cold weather we’ll go back to zoom. Be sure to sign up on our calendar so you can get updates.

On Thursdays at 3 pm, grab your legos and log in to GoToMeeting to chat with your friends, try out the weekly prompt, and have some fun! All are welcome. The prompt will also be posted on our facebook and instagram. Need legos? Let Miss Rachel know! Email roverbeck@noblenet.org for the link to join or sign up on our calendar.

Monthly Programs

Join certified Scaredy Cat Miss Rachel and Mr. Taber, Stoneham Middle librarian, to read and talk about books in the spooky section of the stacks. This is a book club for 5th-8th grade. April’s title is “Small Spaces” by Katherine Arden and you can download it on hoopla, Libby, or check it out from the library. We’ll get together on Google Meet on Thursday, April 29 at 6 pm.
